Andrea Sanders / Director/ ARTISt
My name is Andrea Sanders, and I currently serve as the director and curator of Wonder Collective Seattle.
In my role as a curator and arts coordinator, I am dedicated to showcasing and promoting the works of diverse artists. I particularly focus on supporting emerging artists who bring forth unique approaches and forms of artistic expression.
I am passionate about delving into the stories behind the art and fostering a sense of community and dialogue within the artistic realm. Through my work, I strive to uplift and amplify the voices of artists, creating opportunities for their work to be celebrated and shared.
As an artist, I am drawn to exploring the intricate layers of information woven into history, architecture, and visual art. I find inspiration in the multifaceted textures of time and place, and my work delves into the concept of palimpsests, offering a conceptual and abstract perspective on the world.
I am fascinated by the obscured and unseen, the encrypted yet visible, and the multilayered record of life that accumulates over time. Rather than seeking to explain or clarify my work, I aim to evoke contemplation and introspection in those who experience it.
